Waseelah of Our Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam during His Blessed Life

1. On the authority of Hazrat Usman bin Haneef (RadiyAllahu Anhu), that a Sahabi who was blind by birth was taught a special Du'a by the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam),
Allahumma Innee As’Aluka Wa Atha Wajjahu Ilayka Binabiyyika Muhammadin Nabiyyir Rahmah, Ya Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayka Wasallam) Innee Atha Wajjahu Bika ilaa Rabbee Fee Haajathee haazihee lituqdwaa lee. Allahumma Fashaf'fi'hu Fiyya.

O Allah, I ask from you, and turn towards you through the Wasila of Your Nabi Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam), who is indeed a Prophet of Mercy. O Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayka Wasallam), with your Wasila (Medium) I turn towards Allah for my need so that it may be bestowed. O Allah, accept the Prophet's intercession for me. 2. Imam Bukhari writes that there was a famine during the Khilafah of Hazrath Umar RadiyAllahu Anhu, who supplicated to Allah by presenting the Waseela of the uncle of Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, Hazrath Abbas RadiyAllahu Anhu, He prayed to Allah by saying: 'O Allah, we used to supplicate to you with the Waseela of the Prophet (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) and you would bestow us with rain. Now we present You the Waseela of Hazrath Abbas RadiyAllahu Anhu, the uncle of the Prophet So please grant us rain.'  [Bukhari in Baab-ul-Istisqaa]
